Staudt’s unbeaten streak moves to six as the Dolphins defeat FAMU

JU freshman Aline Staudt has yet to lose in 2012 as she improved to 6-0 on the year as the Dolphins were able to defeat Florida A&M 6-1 on Saturday in Tallahassee.

Staudt added another impressive win to her stellar freshman season winning her match in dominating fashion defeating Kathline Durden in straight sets 6-1, 6-0.  She was also victorious in her doubles match as she teamed up with Djessika Bezerra to win 8-2. 

JU dominated as a team with four out of the five Dolphin singles match wins coming in straight sets.  Natalia Melibeu won 6-1, 6-4 improving her individual record to 4-2 on the season.  Gabriela Bartos, Virginia Iwinski, and Bezerra were the other victorious Dolphins.

With the win, JU (3-3) move back to .500 and will host Campbell University on March 3rd.
