Baseball begins Fall Green/Gold World Series on Thursday

A chance for the fans to see the 2013 JU baseball team in action starts Thursday with the annual three game Green/Gold World Series at John Sessions Stadium. 

First pitch for game one of the split squad exhibition is set for 6 p.m., with game two slated for 6 p.m, on Friday. The series will conclude on Saturday at 1 p.m. Regardless of the outcome of the first two games game three will be played Saturday. 

“We are excited to see the guys compete in game situations,“JU Head Coach Terry Alexander said.“It has been a good fall and we want to see how these new guys have developed. Overall, our goal is to continue to build the framework for starting the 2013 season.” 

Following the draft by the coaches on Sunday night, senior Ethan Loosen and sophomore Alex McRae will lead the Green squad while senior Jake Huxtable and junior Chris Anderson will guide the Gold team. Fans can see the full roster by clicking on the link.
