On June 16, Walker ran 13.68 in 100-meter hurdle prelims before recording a 13.66 in the finals to place sixth. She took seventh in the triple jump Sunday with a leap of 40’6.5”.
“What a great year Shanique had,” JU head coach Ron Grigg said. “To have her best hurdle and jump performances this late in a long season is a testament to her talent and competitiveness. Her future is bright.”
Fellow teammate Courtney Walker ran into a -3.2 headwind during the 100-meter preliminaries for a time of 12.06 on June 15 to start the meet.
