Track & field signs first member of 2014 class

JACKSONVILLE, Fla.-- The JU track & field program received its first commitment for the 2014 season as Tatiana Wolfe of St. Catherine, Jamaica has chosen to attend Jacksonville University and compete as a Dolphin.

Wolfe is currently a senior at St. Jago High School where she excels in hurdles and jumps.  Over the weekend she set a personal best in the 400 meter hurdles at the Camperdown Classic with a winning time of 1:00.82.  She also has personal bests of 14.33 in the 100m hurdles, 18’ 8” (5.70m) in the long jump, and 5’ 5” (1.65m) in the high jump.

“Tatiana is a versatile hurdle and jumps athlete, who can also help on any sprint relay.  She is 5 feet 11 inches tall, and very athletic.  She is finishing up her high school career at the storied St. Jago High School which has a rich tradition for producing some of the best track and field athletes in Jamaican history.  We are excited for her arrival in the fall.”

The signing is the first of more to come as the Dolphins currently have eight seniors winding down their careers.
