JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Brady North (Tampa, Fla.) just missed rallying the Dolphins from a five run deficit in the bottom half of the 9th inning. With the bases loaded and two outs and the Dolphins trailing by three runs, North lifted a high drive to center field that was caught against the wall ending the Dolphins chance of back to back walk off victories against the Radford Highlanders.

On a day where Dolphin pitchers were not as dominant as on Friday night, the young Dolphins battled to keep the game in reach. Hurt by timely hitting and costly wild pitches the Dolphins allowed five runs in the top half of the 5th inning to break open a 2-2 tie.

Alex McRae (West Allis, Wis.) started for the Dolphins and pitched 4 2/3 innings allowing two runs, only one of which was earned. Josh Baker (Sussez, Wis.) was charged with the loss after allowing three runs in 1/3 of an inning.

The Dolphins were lead at the plate by Garrett Ruckel (Jacksonville, Fla.) who finished 1-for-2 with a walk, a double and an RBI. Senior Ethan Loosen (Uniondale, NY.) added a double and an RBI while Drew Luther (Fullerton, Ca.) doubled in the bottom of the 9th scoring two runs and setting the stage for North.

The Highlanders had ten hits and great pitching from Dylan Boyle and Michael Nelson. Nelson was the winning pitcher after tossing 4 1/3 innings and allowing only two runs.

The same two team will meet tomorrow at 1:00pm at John Sessions Stadium, the game be followed live by clicking on the LIVE STATS link.
