McCord tabbed Offensive Player of the Week & Quint shares Defensive Player of the Week honors

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – For the second time in as many weeks a Jacksonville women’s lacrosse duo has been recognized by the Atlantic Sun.  Sophomore Taylor McCord (Jacksonville, Fla.) and junior Kaylee Quint (Lake Mary, Fla.) were honored this week as the league’s Offensive Player and Defensive Player respectively.

McCord earned her award after recording seven points in two games for the Dolphins. The Exercise Science major scored four of her goals on four shots while also adding two assists in a 15-5 win over San Diego State.

Quint’s honor comes after a week in which she combined for three caused turnovers in the Dolphins two games. A nursing major, she also secured two ground balls and two draw controls in the Dolphins 15-5 win vs. San Diego State. She shared her honor with Detroit’s Zaynib Hamze.    

The Dolphins return to action next Saturday at Presbyterian.
