ORANGE PARK, Fla. – Sophomore Jessica Welch (Lavonia, Ga.) fired a 4-over par 76 to lead Jacksonville University after Saturday’s second round of the JMU Eagle Landing Invitational that is being contested at the par-72, 6,764-yard Eagle Landing Golf Club in Orange Park, Fla. Welch (74-76 – 150) is 6-over par through 36 holes of play.

Welch’s effort puts her in a tie for 23rd place, twelve strokes behind East Carolina’s F. Gustafsson Spang (69-70 -139).

The Dolphins are in 12th place following a 17-over par round of 305. The Dolphins (308-305 – 613) are thirty shots behind Campbell (293-290- 583) who sits at 7-over par.

Sophomore Natalie Schmett (Evansville, Ind.) (73-78) and junior Francesca Yong (Malaysia) (75-76) are tied for 34th at 151.

Senior Gaia Olcese (Milan, Italy) fired a 3-over par 75 the low number for the Dolphins on Saturday. Olcese (86-75- 159) is in a tie for 80th. Junior Carlie Gehlhausen (Noblesville, Ind.) (86-82-168) is in a tie for 90th.

The 54-hole event concludes tomorrow after the final round.
