Dolphins in second after round one of the Bash at the Beach

MYRTLE BEACH, SC.--- Led by Cyril Suk and Brett McKinnon the JU Men’s golf team sits in second place after the first round of the Bash at the Beach golf tournament in Myrtle Beach, SC.

Cyril Suk (Bradenton, Fla.) and Brett McKinnon (Glace Bay, Nova Scotia) both fired 1-under par 70’s to lead the JU Men’s golf team at the Surf Golf and Beach Club in Myrtle Beach, SC. Suk and McKinnon are in a group tied for eighth overall in the individual portion of the 54-hole tournament.

Colin Monagle (Jacksonville, Fla.), Nick Torrance (Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.) and Jamey Salmon (Jacksonville, Fla.) all fired opening round 1-over par 72’s in Monday’s first round.

The Dolphins are in second place over with a team score of 284 trailing Radford University who opened with a 281.

The tournament will resume Monday with a 18 holes and conclude Tuesday with 18.
