Dolphins goalie helped keep Manhattan scoreless the final 21 minutes on Saturday
EDISON, N.J. – The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference named Jacksonville’s Pete DeLuca (Millersville, Pa.) men’s lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week on Monday. DeLuca earns the honor after posting 10 saves and six ground balls in a 10-7 win at Manhattan on Saturday.
He made four saves in the fourth quarter as Jacksonville held the Jaspers scoreless the final 21 minutes of the 10-7 victory.
The win moved the Dolphins to 2-0 in the MAAC this season and at 4-3 overall, marking the first time JU has been over .500 during the programs four year history.
