The Ospreys jumped out early on a solo home run by catcher Corey Bass. The right handed hitting Bass homered over the right field wall to put the Ospreys up 1-0 in the top half of the third inning.
UNF added another run in the top half of the sixth to extend the lead to 2-0.Tyler Marincov walked and stole second and then scored on an RBI single by Ryan Roberson.
The Dolphins answered back with a pair of runs in the bottom of the sixth to knot the score at 2-2. Kris Molter (Jacksonville, Fla./Bishop Kenny) led off with a triple. Molter then scored on a failed pick-off attempt to make it 2-1. Zachary Houck (Orange Park, Fla./Eagles View Academy) singled and advanced to second on a sacrifice bunt by Dylan Dillard (Kissimmee, Fla./Osceola). Nathan Koslowski (Jacksonville, Fla./Episcopal) followed with a single advancing Houck to third. One out later. Brady North (Tampa, Fla./Hillsboro CC) singled scoring Houck and knotting the game at 2-2.
The tie was short lived. The Ospreys scored three runs in the top half of the seventh inning on two walks, a bunt single, a wild pitch and a Dolphin error to take the lead at 5-2.
The Ospreys added a pair of runs in the top half of the eight on two more walks and a pair of singles.
The Ospreys piled on the runs, adding three more runs in the top of the ninth on five hits to round out the scoring at 10-2.
Chris Anderson (Lino Lakes, Minn./Centennial) (6-4) was charged with the loss for the Dolphins. Anderson allowed four earned runs in 6 2/3 innings while striking out three and walking four.
