Dolphins in 8th after round two of John Hayt Collegiate Invitational

Lead by freshman Cyril Suk (Bradenton, Fla.). The Jacksonville University men’s golf team is in 8th place at the John Hayt Collegiate Invitational.

Suk (69-73 – 142) is tied for 6th place in the individual portion of the tournament. Sophomore Nick Torrance (Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.) tallied (73-73- 146) good for 33rd. Fellow sophomore Brett McKinnon (Grace Bay, Novia Scotia) fired (74-74- 148) tying him for 38th. Jamey Salmon (Jacksonville, Fla.) (82-76- 158) is in a tie for 81st place and Daniel Kovari (Hungary) (79-80- 158) to round out the Dolphins scoring.

North Florida (-17) and Duke (-5) are the only two teams under-par heading into the final round of play. Central Florida is third overall with a nine-over 585, while Arkansas, North Texas, Florida and LSU are all tied for fourth place at 11-over. Monday's second round of play featured several delays with standing water on the course as well as lightening in the area.

The annual event is played at the par 72, 6,998-yard Sawgrass Country Club.
