ORLANDO, Fla. -  Preparations for the 2013 season are off to a good start for the Jacksonville men's lacrosse team which topped No. 3 Notre Dame 9-8 in an exhibition contest held at Disney's Wide World of Sports on Saturday.

After facing off with the U.S. National team earlier in the day, the Irish showed no signs of wear jumping out to a 5-0 lead following the first quarter of action against JU.

The Dolphins fought back and eventually tied the game at 8-8 in the fourth quarter on a goal scored by Quint Miller.  Culver Bradbury then scored what proved to be the game winner with 3:58 left when his lunging shot attempt found the back of the cage.
