Fans can vote for Pierre through the league’s Facebook page through Aug. 20 at 1 p.m. EST. The winner will be announced alongside the A-Sun coaches’ preseason poll release Aug. 22.

Pierre enters her final season with the Dolphins looking to build on her already stellar career. She has earned first team all-conference honors at all three A-Sun Championships, including guiding JU to its first league title in 2009.

The Immokalee, Fla. native has also won at least two events in each of the last two seasons. She won the UF Mountain Dew Invitational as a sophomore which is the fastest 5K mark (17:33.50) all-time at JU. Last season, she won the UCF Attack Challenge with the second fastest 6K program time of 21:47.32 to earn her A-Sun Runner of the Week honors.
