Dolphins sign Fleming Island standout
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Jacksonville University head women’s golf coach Jennifer Borocz has signed Fleming Island High School standout Sabrina Rumbaugh.
Rumbaugh led the Golden Eagles to four consecutive conference tournament titles and individually has been awarded all - conference honors all four years. She placed 11th in the individual competition at the state tournament and fired a career-low 69 as a sophomore to win medalist honors at the county championships.
Playing four years of high school golf and averaging a remarkable 36 shots per nine-hole match, Rumbaugh looks to make an immediate impact for the Dolphins.
“Sabrina has a chance to be a very good player, we are looking forward to having her join us in the fall” said Borocz.
Sabrina was a member of the honor roll and a member of the Future Business Leaders of America. She is the daughter of Christina and Michael Rumbaugh of Orange Park.
