DOLPHINS tied for 13th at Sir Pizza Terrapin Challenge

MIAMI LAKES, Fla. - The Jacksonville University women's golf team opened their spring season at the Sir Pizza Terrapin Challenge in Miami Lakes, Fla., on Monday. The Dolphins shot 637 in the first two rounds tying for 13th overall. The Dolphins were led by Natalie Schmett (Evansville, In.) who shot (76-76- 152) tying for 23rd.

Jessica Welch (Lavonia, Ga.) is tied for 58th after opening with (78-81- 159). The pair of Christina Paulsen (Ridgewood, NJ.) and Francesca Yong (Malaysia) fired identical (81-82- 163) to stand in a tie for 73rd overall. Carlie Gelhausen (Noblesville, In.) rounded out the Dolphin scoring with (83-83- 166) tying her for 82nd after two rounds.

North Carolina State currently leads the Sir Pizza Terrapin Challenge with a total score of 590 while Florida International is in second place at 591.The Dolphins’ total of 637 lands them in a tie for 13th.
