Jacksonville Hosts Detroit in A-Sun Tournament Championship Sunday at 1:00 pm

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The top-seeded Jacksonville Dolphins will face No. 2 Detroit on Sunday in the first ever Atlantic Sun Tournament Championship Game. 

The Dolphins are undefeated against conference opponents in the inaugural season of A-Sun Lacrosse. In JU's semifinal match they scored 23 goals to defeat Kennesaw State 23-3 on Friday.


JU was two goals shy of tying for the most goals they've scored in a single game this season. Their 25 goal performance vs. Howard last week is the most goals scored in a game this season for the entire country.


The Dolphins entered the weekend fourth in the nation in scoring offense, averaging 15.38 goals per game.


Detroit earned its spot in the championship game by dispatching Stetson 21-7 in the semifinals. Zaynib Hamze tallied a career-high eight points in the match which included seven goals to lead UDM past the Hatters.

Jacksonville wont he regualr season meeting this year 16-2 back on April 13.
 

The championship match is set for Sunday, April 27 at 1 PM at Southern Oak Stadium in Jacksonville, Fla.
