Jacksonville heads north to South Carolina looking to secure a spot in the Atlantic Sun Tournament with a three-game series at USC Upstate starting on Friday night at 6:00 pm.

The Dolphins enter the weekend holding on to eighth place in the A-Sun standings, but just a half game back of sixth, currently shared by Stetson and North Florida. With Northern Kentucky not eligible for the conference tournament, Jacksonville holds a four-game advantage on USC Upstate and can clinch a spot by winning the series vs the Spartans this weekend.

The reigning A-Sun Pitcher of the Week, RHP Alex McRae (4-6; 6.31 ERA; 56 K) will start the series on Friday once again for JU. McRae is coming off a complete game two-hitter against Stetson last Saturday night In his last three appearances, McRae has posted a 2.41 ERA with two wins and a save. Zac Manuppelli (3-5; 5.29 ERA; 21 K) will counter for USC Upstate.

LHP Josh Baker (3-3; 4.92 ERA; 30 K) takes the mound on Saturday against David Roseboom (2-6; 3.89 ERA; 49 K).

On Sunday Jacksonville RHP Justin Russell (5-3; 4.55 ERA; 33 K) starts opposite Dylan Parker (1-4; 5.43 ER; 43 K).

At the plate senior Scott Schaub enters the weekend tied for third in the nation with a .424 average while ranking sixth with a .509 on base percentage.

 Jacksonville leads the all-time series 11-7 after taking two of three last year at Sessions Stadium.

Next Up For Jacksonville

The Dolphins close out the regular season at home on Tuesday vs Georgia Southern before hosting a three-game set vs Northern Kentucky starting on Thursday.
