Dolphins Add To Staff
JACKSONVILLE, Fla.—The JU men’s soccer team has announced they have added Tucker Stone to the coaching staff as an assistant coach.
Stone, a former goalkeeper at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), joins the Jacksonville staff after spending the previous season as the Highland Football Club head coach in Asheville, NC. He will primarily focus on coaching the goalkeepers for the Dolphins.
“Tucker is a very driven and hungry competitor who made himself into a successful college player,” said JU head coach Ryan Pratt. “His experiences and background will be a valuable addition to our staff and will prove to be a great resource for our players as they reach toward achieving their goals both in the classroom and on the field. I am excited to add Tucker to our soccer family here at JU as he begins his collegiate coaching career.”
While serving as the head coach of the Highland Football Club, Stone was responsible for developing the players’ skills and growth within the club’s philosophy. He also served as the club’s goal keeper coach since 2008.
As a member of the UAB men’s soccer team, Stone earned five consecutive Conference USA Academic Medals and was on the Commissioner’s Honor Roll for five straight seasons. In 2010, Stone received the Conference USA Spirit of Service award for his work in the classroom and the community. He graduated Magna Cum Laude in the fall of 2011 with a Bachelors of Science in Economics.
