PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. – Another rainy morning and high tides left the course at Marsh Landing Country Club unplayable and canceled the final round of the JU Classic on Tuesday.

The Dolphins offically place seventh in the shortened 36-hole event.
JU was led on Monday by Natalie Schmett and Jessica Welch. The duo posted identical scores of 74 and 76 to stand at +6 (150) and in a tie for 14th place. Carlie Gehlhausen is third for the Dolphins after posting rounds of 76 and 78 for a score of +10 (154) that has her in a tie for 26th. Francesca Yong (+11, 155) and Morgan Matchett (+15, 159) round out the totals for Jacksonville.

Individually, Jacqueline Shelly of FAU took home medalist honors with a two-round score of 1-under par (70-73 = 143), one shot ahead of Laura Fuenfstueck of College of Charleston.

College of Charleston won the team title with a score 590. North Florida was second at 602, followed by Stetson at 604. Daytona State (604), Wofford (605) and Troy (608) were also within striking distance for the Dolphins before Tuesday's final round was canceled. The Dolphins next return to action on Oct. 20-22 at the FIU Pat Bradley Invitational held at Lakewood Ranch in Bradenton, Fla.
