All-American Schaub Honored by NCBWA
DALLAS, Tex. - More accolades for THE Scott Schaub came in on Wednesday as the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association released its 19th annual All-American team. Schaub (Ocala, Fla.) was named to the organization’s 2014 third team following a season in which he ranked fifth in the nation with a .407 average and ninth with a .490 on base percentage.

Named a Capital One Second Team Academic All-American last month, Schaub drove in a team high 47 RBI this season and tied for 17th in the country with a 1.00 RBI per game average.

He is the seventh Dolphin to be recognized by the NCBWA as an all-american and the first since Adam Brett Walker II was a Second Team honoree in 2011.

NCBWA membership includes writers, broadcasters and publicists. Designed to promote and publicize college baseball, it is the sport’s only college media-related organization, founded in 1962.
