Volleyball Match Vs. Florida A&M Postponed

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Saturday night's volleyball game between Jacksonville University and Florida A&M has been postponed to a later date due to a campus-wide power outage.

The game is tentatively reschedule to be a double-header on Friday, Nov. 3 in Tallahassee, Fla. The Dolphins were originally slated to play at FAMU on Thursday, Nov. 2.

The power outage, which also affected the Arlington region of Jacksonville, Fla., occurred approximately five minutes before the match was scheduled to begin. Right after both teams cleared the court at the conclusion of warmups, the electricity went out. After waiting approximately 30 minutes, JU first-year head coach Robin Mignerey and Florida A&M coach Tony Trifonov decided to play the match at a later date.

The Dolphins return to action Friday, Sept. 15 when they travel to Rhode Island to participate in the Brown University Tournament. JU takes on Princeton and La Salle on Friday before battling St. Peter's and host Brown on Saturday. JU's next home match is Friday, Sept. 22, when the Dolphin's take on Stetson at 7:30 p.m. in Swisher Gymnasium.
