TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Jacksonville University (9-9) ventures west for a mid-week tilt at Florida A&M University (11-4) on Tuesday at Moore-Kittle Field. First pitch between the Dolphins and Rattlers is set for 5:00 p.m. Last season, JU scored eight unanswered runs and saw its bullpen shutdown FAMU for an 8-5 comeback win in Tallahassee.

Despite Harvard University scoring three runs in the first inning, Jacksonville University was able to fight through the rough start and take the Sunday series finale 5-3 over the Crimson. The Dolphins took the series 3-1.

Scouting the Opponent

The Rattlers opened Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference play with a series win at Bethune-Cookman over the weekend, including a win on ESPNU Friday. Fourth-year skipper Jamey Shouppe has guided FAMU to series wins in all of its weekend series, and a mid-week sweep over Mercer.

The offense features eight regulars who are batting over .300, including Aubrey McCarty and Brian Davis, who have each belted a trio of dingers.

On Deck

The Dolphins continue to square off against Sunshine state opponents when JU meets UCF in Orlando on Friday before hosting the Knights on Saturday and Sunday.
