Kickoff Luncheon Has Dolphins Focused On PFL Championship

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The annual Jacksonville University Football Kickoff Luncheon was held on Thursday with one thing in mind.

"Our goal every year is to win the PFL," said Head Coach Kerwin Bell who has led the Dolphins to championships in 2008 and 2010.

"I think we have a great opportunity to do so this season with our senior leadership. These guys get it. They are about team and understand where we want to go as a program."

The confidence set forth by this year's senior class is back up by a PFL best 32-8 record in league play by the Dolphins over the last five seasons.

"We are ready to get this season started and have an opportunity for one more chance to go out on top and win another championship ring," added redshirt senior safety Jordan Dewhirst (Fort White, Fla.).

Jacksonville area native Dylan Lynch echoed Dewhirst sentiments

"The guys on this team have a lot of pride in JU and this city. We are here to win another ring this year," said the senior placekicker
