JU punter Ryan Giaratano is turning heads, that's for sure.

After a game in which he had a 67 yard punt among other things, JU punter Ryan Giaratano (Coral Springs, Fla.) Sunday was named the Pioneer Football League Player of the Week for special teams and Monday won the same award nationally by The Sports Network.

Giaratano averaged 51.2 yards per kick on six punts in Saturday's 34-31 win over Penn including the 67-yarder in the fourth quarter which accounted for one of his two touchbacks.

The sophomore also had a key role the Dolphins' first score when on 4th and 13 in the first quarter he faked a punt and ran 22 yards to keep a drive alive. JU eventually kicked a field goal.

He is the third Dolphin to be honored by the PFL this season as running back Ulysses Bryant and linebacker Jordan Dewhirst were recognized last week.
