JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville University string of players getting weekly honors in the Pioneer Football League continues this week as place kicker Brandon Behr has been named PFL Special Teams Player of the Week.
Behr, a sophomore from Fleming Island, won the award after a school record-tying three field goals in Saturday's 30-7 win over Stetson. Behr's kicks came from 41, 23 and 37 yards and he scored 12 of the team's points.
Behr's 12 points were second most by any PFL player in Week 8 and he also handled kickoff duties, averaging 63.8 yards on six boots with four going for touchbacks. He currently leads the Dolphins with 45 points.
The award marks the sixth consecutive week a Jacksonville player has been honored by the league.
