JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville football team begins its 2015 campaign Friday at Delaware Stadium with a 7 p.m. kickoff against the Delaware Blue Hens.

The Dolphins return 15 starters from a 9-2 season and received votes in the STATS FCS Poll. Delaware, also receiving votes, is coming off a 6-6 season and is picked to finish sixth in the Colonial Athletic Association.

Ready, set, go?: Jacksonville is 6-11 all-time in season openers and has opened the season on the road every year dating back to 2007. The Dolphins have lost their last four opening games dating back to a 2010 35-25 triumph at Old Dominion. Friday's game is a rematch of the 2013 season kickoff at Delaware that had no shortage of fireworks. In the 51-35 setback, the Dolphin offense approached single-game records with 611 total yards (5th), 33 first downs (3rd), five touchdowns (5th), and 51 points (5th).
