JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – For the first time in his career, freshman Emoni Williams has been named the Pioneer Football League's Special Teams Player of the Week.
Williams returned a kickoff 88 yards for a touchdown just before halftime in Jacksonville's (6-0, 3-0) 49-28 win against Edward Waters. It was the first Dolphin kickoff return for a score since Colby Walden's 99-yarder vs. Marist in 2012. The Miami, Fla., native totaled 152 yards on three returns, including a 51-yard return to open the contest. The 152 yards is the second-most kickoff return yardage in the PFL and ranks in the top 25 efforts in the FCS this season.
Jacksonville is action again this weekend when the Dolphins travel to Drake (3-4, 2-2) for a 2 p.m. kickoff.
