Jacksonville., Fla. – Andrew Hooks and Brandon Behr earned weekly honors from the Pioneer Football League for their performance in Jacksonville's 20-14 win at Campbell. Hooks was named the Co-Defensive Player of the Week along with Justin Grier of Morehead State. Behr was honored as the Special Teams Player of the Week.
Hooks was instrumental in the Dolphin triumph, with two interceptions, two pass breakups and 13 tackles (six solo). His first interception thwarted Campbell's opening drive, and returned his second pick 26 yards for a touchdown early in the third quarter.
Behr connected on both of his field goal attempts, the first from 32 yards in the first quarter and his second, from 38 yards, helped seal the road win for Jacksonville. Behr has now made 11 field goals on the season and is one away from tying Dylan Lynch's career record of 25. He also made both PATs to remain perfect on the season. Behr also handled kickoff duties, averaging 56.8 yards on five kickoffs.
Jacksonville returns home for senior day this Saturday with a 1 p.m. kickoff against Valparaiso. For ticket information, visit www.judolphins.com.
