JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A new era in Jacksonville University football is around the corner and both season and single-game tickets for the highly anticipated season are on sale beginning today (Friday, July 15).
With new coach Ian Shields at the helm, excitement is starting to build for the new season, but the excitement isn't limited to the field.
This year, the school is unveiling a new electronic ticketing system which will allow fans easier purchasing options than in the past by going to JUTickets.com or by going to the Ticket button on the home page of JUDolphins.com.
"There is a choice to reserve seats,'' Assistant Athletic Director for Ticketing and Sponsorships Bambi Carson said. "There are multiple options to get tickets. Fans can have the tickets waiting at the Will Call window of the ticket booth, get e-tickets or have the tickets mailed which will eliminate the need to go to the ticket booth if they choose. Also, tickets will be scanned as fans enter the stadium which means no more ripping of them.''
Carson said the new system will enhance, not diminish, customer service.
"We're not going to lose the customer service end of it,'' she said. "We will still be contacting fans to confirm their purchases. The new system puts us far ahead of where we were with our ticketing.''
Ticket prices are unchanged from last season.
Season tickets range from $50-$200 and a season parking pass is $100. Reserved seats for single games are $15 or $10 for seniors (65 and older) and kids (12 and under). General admission seating is $10 of $5 for seniors and kids.
