DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Fresh off earning All-Pioneer Football League Honors Tuesday, seniors Justin Horton and Grady Redding have been selected to play in the sixth Annual FCS National Bowl Game at Daytona Beach Stadium on Sunday, Dec. 4
Horton, a redshirt-senior outside linebacker, earned Second-Team All-PFL with 70 tackles, six TFL, and 4.5 sacks. The Clermont, Fla., product had 36 solo tackles, three quarterback hurries, two forced fumbles, and one recovery. He also rushed one fake punt for 33 yards. Horton concluded his career with 120 tackles, 12 TFL, and 7.5 sacks.
Redding was just one tackle shy of posting consecutive seasons with 100 tackles. He leaves JU as its all-time leading tackler with 348 in his career. The senior from Cocoa, Fla., earned his third consecutive First-Team All-PFL honor. In addition to his 55 solo tackles, he made 4.5 in the backfield and had 0.5 sacks. The middle linebacker forced two fumbles, recovered one, and had an interception returned for a touchdown at Morehead State.
Horton will wear #29 for the National team in black jerseys, coached by Mike Stock. Redding will #4 for the American team in white jerseys, coached by Chris Thompson.
