JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The 2018 Jacksonville University Football season is just around the corner, and your 'Phins are preparing for another year of play in the River City. Tickets for the team's six home games at D.B. Milne Field are now on sale, the Jacksonville Ticket Office announced on Wednesday.
Season tickets can be purchased for $50, and include admission and a chairback seat to all six games during the upcoming season. Fans have the option to choose their own seat from the 600 located in-between each 40-yard line on the home side of the stadium's bleachers.
Showing a two-win improvement from last season, Jacksonville concluded their 2017 Campaign with a 7-4 overall record, and a 5-3 showing in Pioneer football League play. The team tallied a 5-1 home record in Ian Shields's second season at the helm of the program, winning its first three contests in the River City. JU opened home conference play with a 35-21 decision over Davidson on Homecoming Weekend September 30, and pulled out a 13-10 win over Stetson in November 11th's Senior Day contest.
This coming fall, the Dolphins will welcome four PFL and two non-conference opponents to D.B. Milne Field. The 2018 season begins on Saturday, Sept. 1, as St. Augustine's comes to town for it's first-ever meeting with the 'Phins. After traveling to Mercer the following week, the team returns home for three River Contests in the next four weeks, welcoming in 2017 foe Walsh on Sept. 15, and PFL opponents Drake and Marist on Sept. 29 and Oct. 13, respectively. JU continues play on the First Coast by hosting Butler on November 3, and concludes the 2018 season with Dayton on November 18.
