Fans heading to the Dolphins’ home football opener this weekend against Morehead State will see changes in and around D.B. Milne Field.
The most noticeable change will be the addition of parking lot attendants as fans without appropriate passes who enter the campus from Alumni Drive, River Road, Dolphin Drive or Green Street, will be directed to Parking Lots A, B and C on the east end of campus (near University Boulevard). There will be a $5 charge for parking at each of the five home games this season.
Once parked, fans may choose to shuttle to the football field via one of the six-seat golf carts being supplied by EZ eventride this season.
Fans with appropriate parking passes, such as at The Grove or other designated parking lots, will be directed to those areas.
The easiest access to The Grove will be through Alumni Drive o0n the north end of campus and the student tailgate area will remain as it has been in the parking lot adjacent to the Davis College of Business.
Parking lots this week will open at 8 a.m. and stadium gates will open at 11 a.m.
Once inside the stadium, fans will find new tables with umbrellas in the shaded area on the south side of the playing field.
Fans are reminded that no glass, alcohol, coolers or pets are allowed inside D.B. Milne Field with the exception of working service animals.
