Harris Named Napa Newcomer

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Every month, Napa Autoparts recognizes a "Napa Newcomer", honoring a freshman or transfer student-athlete of Jacksonville University for exemplary performance in competition and in the classroom. Men's basketball transfer Devin Harris has earned the accolade for the month of November.

"We are happy for Devin being honored by the university for his performance this last month," said Head Coach Tony Jasick. "Recognition like this is a compliment to him and the efforts of his teammates."

Harris has impressed in his nine starts this season. The redshirt junior from Tampa, Fla., is averaging 10.9 points, 5.2 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 1.1 steals, and 0.5 blocks per game. He's 21st in the ASUN Conference in scoring, and his 53.2 shooting percentage is 8th in the league. He joined the Dolphins in the 2015-16 offseason after transferring from East Tennessee State, but had to sit out the 2015-16 season due to NCAA transfer rules.
