JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A week after opening its spring slate, Jacksonville University's men's rowing program returns to the water at the two-day SIRA Championship Regatta in Oak Ridge, Tenn.
Jacksonville is coming off of an appearance at the Knecht Cup where three of its four boats advanced to their respective final, and the second varsity four was victorious.
The Dolphins battled George Mason for first place and pulled away in the very end to win with a time of 7:09.95. The men's pair placed fourth in its final in 7:34.55, while Jacksonville's varsity eight narrowly missed qualifying for the final round, finishing fourth in its prelim in 6:50.00.
Next, Jacksonville heads to the prestigious Dad Vails Regatta in Philadelphia, Pa., before racing at the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Championship.
