EDISON, N.J. – Posting the highest grade point average on the team, Travis Pulliam represents the Jacksonville University men's rowing program on the 2016 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Men's Rowing All-Academic Team, the league announced Wednesday.
Pulliam's 3.803 GPA impresses many, and even more impressive is his field of study – engineering. The junior from Orlando, Fla., sat in the three-seat of the varsity eight boat last Sunday, assisting the Dolphins to a silver medal at the MAAC Championship.
"I can't think of anyone more deserving," said Head Coach Marci Robles. "Travis has really emerged as a leader this year. He excels academically and athletically, and he is very involved in the JU community. I'm proud of what he's accomplished and am excited we get one more year with him!"
Pulliam and the Dolphins continue their spring slate at the IRA National Championship on June 3.
