JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – As the last team currently in competition, Jacksonville University's men's rowing program will cap the 2015-16 athletic calendar year this weekend at the Intercollegiate Rowing Association (IRA) National Championship. The Dolphins will have one boat, a varsity four, competing in the three-day regatta in West Windsor, N.J.
Racing begins at 11:20 a.m. Friday. Twenty-eight V4 crews will compete in an opening heat with the winners automatically qualifying for the semifinals; all others will go on to race in a repechage later in the day.

JU's Last OutingIt's been a little over two weeks since the Dolphins last competed. Finishing second out of four crews, the men's varsity eight received a silver medal (6:15.027) at the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference championship.
Prior to the trip, JU's varsity four, the same lineup heading to the IRAs, took on the prestigious Dad Vail Regatta. They posted a time of 6:50.702, placing fifth in its final heat.
