Dolphins Trek North for Maryland Invitational

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Hitting the road for the first time this season, Jacksonville University softball treks north this weekend, March 9-11, for the Maryland Invitational, hosted by the University of Maryland.

The tournament features familiar foes Yale and the host Terrapins, along with two opponents the Dolphins have never faced before – Miami (Ohio) and Utah.

Last Time Out – vs. Mercer
The Dolphins defeated Mercer, 8-0, in five innings this past Wednesday to improve to 12-9 on the year. Madison Ragan blasted a three-run home run in the bottom of the first to get the Dolphins on the board. Jacksonville added five more runs in the bottom of the third when Jordan Daniels and Hannah Roberts took pitches to bring two in, while Kristen Griffith cleared the bases with the double through the left side. Alyssa Bilodeau struck out three to improve to 8-2 on the year.
