Teague Named ASUN Newcomer of the Week For Second Time

LAKEPOINT, Ga. – After leading Jacksonville University women's basketball in last Saturday's matchup at Florida Gulf Coast, Dolphin guard Naqaiyyah Teague was named ASUN Conference Newcomer of the Week, as announced by the league Tuesday.

With starts in the last four game, Teague used her 38 minutes on the floor to her advantage, and led all scorers with 15 points in last Saturday's matchup against the Eagles. The Newark, N.J. native shot 58.3 percent from the floor (7-12) and added nine rebounds and dished two assists.

Currently third in the ASUN shooting 48.4 percent from the floor on the year, Teague is also averaging 7.5 points per game and 5.4 rebounds per game. She was previously named ASUN Newcomer of the Week on Dec. 19.

Teague and the rest of the Dolphins return home to Swisher Gymnasium this weekend to welcome Stetson (Thursday, 7 p.m.) and Florida Gulf Coast (Saturday, 1 p.m.).
