LakePoint, Ga. – Jacksonville University saw a duo of Dolphins take home honors from the ASUN Conference this week as Danielle Della Rocca was honored as the Player of the Week and Sydney Matthews as the Defensive Player of the Week, as announced Tuesday by the conference office.

Della Rocca collects her fifth career ASUN Player of the Week honor, the most of any conference player in league history. She scored a hat trick in the first half of the Dolphins victory against Davidson. Della Rocca finished with a game-high five goals to push her season tally to 13 in just four games. She put eight shots on goal and connected on five of them as Jacksonville secured the victory, 15-9 against the Wildcats. The award is the first for the senior this season.

She finished the game with 11 saves in just over 48 minutes of action. Matthews also only allowed five goals in the first half, before shutting out Davidson for 18 minutes in the second period.
