Dolphins Join Nation’s Best at NCAA Championship

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – For the fourth consecutive season, the Jacksonville University women's rowing program will represent the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) at the NCAA Division I Rowing Championship. 

The Dolphins swept every race – both qualifiers and finals – at the league championship this past Friday, and return to the MAAC site for the three-day national regatta.

Racing begins Friday, May 26, on Lake Mercer in West Windsor, N.J.

The team championship is composed of 22 teams. Eleven conferences were awarded automatic qualification and the remaining 11 slots were filled with at-large selections to complete the championship field. Teams qualifying for the championship as an automatic qualifier or as an at-large are required to field two boats of eight rowers and one boat of four rowers. For the I Eights, II Eights and Fours, all 22 boats will be seeded into four heats.
