JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Jacksonville University women's track & field hits the road for the 2017 outdoor season at the UCF Black & Gold Challenge in Orlando Saturday, March 18. Field events begin at 11:00 a.m. with the discus, while action on the track begins with the 3,000-meter steeplechase at 2:00 p.m.
"We will take a conservative approach as we ease into the outdoor season," stated Director of Track & Field and Cross Country Ron Grigg. "It will be good to contest the outdoor specific events like the discus, steeplechase, 4x100 relay, and the 400 hurdles. There is a long way to go before championship season in mid to late May, so we plan to set a baseline and progress from there."
