    Jacksonville University volleyball will be led by a pair of the brightest minds in the game as Kayla Walton was named assistant coach, as announced by Dolphin head coach Evan Muys on Thursday. Both Walton and Muys were honored by the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) as Thirty Under 30 Award recipients in 2016 and 2017, respectively.

    Evan Muys has been named head coach of Jacksonville University’s indoor and beach volleyball teams following a national search, as announced Thursday by Athletic Director Alex Ricker-Gilbert. A 2017 American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Thirty Under 30 recipient, Muys becomes the 10th head coach in the Dolphins’ 46-year history.

  • Dolphins Earn #2 Seed in ASUN Tournament

    After finishing the ASUN Conference regular season with a 12-2 record, Jacksonville University volleyball earned the number two seed in the 2017 ASUN Tournament and will play in the second semifinal match Friday, Nov. 17 at Allen Arena on the campus of Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tenn. at 8:30 pm EST. The Dolphins will face the winner of Thursday’s match between #3 Florida Gulf Coast and #6 USC Upstate. All of the matches will be broadcast on ESPN3.

The Dolphins cap the regular season with an 18-9 overall record and a 12-2 mark against league opponents.

The Wildcats took sets one (25-22) and three (25-19) to pressure the Dolphins, but Jacksonville rallied back after a 25-20 win in set two with an identical score in game four (25-20), before it outlasted the visitors in the fifth, 15-12.
