ATLANTA, Ga. – A junior on the Jacksonville University volleyball team, Mallory Mattingly has been named to the 2018-19 ASUN Conference Fall Winners for Life Team, as announced by the league Monday afternoon. The team is comprised of one student-athlete from each of the nine institutions and honors those who display excellence on and off the playing surface.
A three-year starter, Mattingly has played a key role for the Dolphins since she arrived on campus a three seasons ago. With a career-best 383 kills this past season, the Sanford, Fla. native became just the ninth player in program history to surpass 1,000 kills in her Dolphin career.
A two-time ASUN Player and Freshman of the Week, Mattingly has been an all-around player for the Dolphins, adding 776 career digs on the defensive end. She holds a cumulative GPA of 3.56, with a 3.60 GPA in her major. She is heavily involved with her local church that helps out tremendously in the community. She volunteers at the humane society and has organized beach cleanups with her team mates. Over her career, she has grown into one of the team leaders for the Dolphins Volleyball squad.
