Description:Â
The Debbie & Fred Pruitt Softball Complex is the home of the Jacksonville Dolphins Softball Team. The facility was dedicated on behalf of the Pruitt family on October 10, 2013. The facility features a 2,300-square foot office building and a 7,000-square foot covered hitting/fielding pavilion that sit just steps away from the JU Softball field. The multi-purpose building is highlighted by a team lounge and study area, a team locker room with 22 individual lockers, and offices for the coaching staff. The enclosed pavilion features three retractable Burbank Sports Nets Batting Cages that can be pulled back for a full infield practice on the 60’ x50’ field turf surface. The up-to-date overhead lighting allows for around-the-clock usage. One of the highlights of the facility includes the unique outfield seating arrangement that allows fans to get a great view of the action from the comfort of their own pop-up seats. The installation of a new Daktronics videoboard prior to the start of the 2025 season, as well as the addition of new backstop and outfield wall padding prior to the 2026 season, has helped further enhance the student-athlete and fan experience at the complex. The 2025-26 facility upgrades were brought to campus through gracious donations from Mark ('86) and Tina Belcher.Â
