Dedicated on behalf of C.L. "Tuffy" Thompson and Gladys Thompson the Tompson Track is home to the Jacksonville Dolphins Cross Country and Women’s Track & Field teams. The facility is part of the Ashley Sports Complex and surrounds the field at Rock Stadium. The eight lane track is perfectly situated for both student-athletes and students to use throughout the year. The facility also includes two jumps pits, as well as a high jump area, and a 2-sided pole vault lane. The facility has been called home by numerous All-ASUN selections and has been used as a practice site for the NCAA Track & Field East Preliminaries over the years.
