Box Score Dolphins infielder now advances to national ballot
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. â€" Senior infielder
Jake Huxtable (Winter Springs, Fla.) has been named to the 2013 Capital One Academic All-District First Team by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

The award recognizes the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom.
Â
Huxtable is hitting .304 with four doubles and 12 RBI this season and is tied for the team lead with 20 runs scored. Academically, the senior carries a 3.87 cumulative grade point average and is majoring in communications.
This past fall he was one of 22 student-athletes for Jacksonville baseball to record a term GPA of 3.0 or higher.

Huxtable is one of 12 student-athletes earning First Team honors for NCAA Division I District IV. He will now advance to the Capital One Academic All-America Team ballot, where first-, second- and third-team All-America honorees will be selected later this month.
