Men's Golf Returns to Action in Myrtle Beach

Jacksonville University men's golf swings back into action on March 10 and 11 after taking a week off when they compete in the Bash at the Beach tournament hosted by Appalachian State University. The two-day tournament will be held at Surf Golf & Beach Club in North Myrtle Beach, S.C. on a Par-72, 6,842-yard layout. 

The 17-team tournament features one top 40 team according to the latest Golfweek.com rankings, No. 36 Liberty University.

The complete field consists of: Appalachian State, Alabama State, Bethune-Cookman, East Carolina, Campbell, Gardner-Webb, George Washington, Greensboro College, Hampton, Hartford, Jacksonville, Liberty, North Carolina Central, Radford, West Georgia, USC Upstate and Valparaiso.                

The Dolphins will try to improve on their last outing after placing fifth as a team in the final round of the John Hayt Collegiate Invitational, ending the tournament 13th overall. Colin Monagle was the top finisher for Jacksonville at the John Hayt, placing tenth overall with a three-round total of 227 (+11) that included two rounds of 75. Brett McKinnonPrem SamritprichaConnor Salanger andNick Torrance also shot well for the Dolphins and will be on the course for JU at this event as well.
