Recap of the Last Game

JU narrowly defeated Florida A&M 68-66 on Monday in the Historic Swisher Gym. The Rattlers' K'Ja Johnson hit a two-pointer that would have tied the game, but replay showed that the game clock had expired just before the ball left his hand. The Dolphins relied on clutch free throw shooting to win; they sunk 4-5 shots at the penalty stripe in the closing minute. Jacksonville shot 38.3 percent from the floor, was outrebounded (38-37), was outscored in the paint (34-14), and was outscored in bench scoring (15-12), but still managed to stretch its winning streak in Swisher to five consecutive games dating back to last season.

Darius Dawkins led the Dolphins in scoring with 22 points on 7-15 shooting. The junior forward also had 6 rebounds and went 2-2 from the line. Kori Babineaux had 16 points on 7-15 shooting, and Marcel White had 15 points on 5-9 shooting.
