MACON, Ga. – Jacksonville's Josh Adeyeye has been voted the Atlantic Sun conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week, as announced by the league office on Monday. Adeyeye earns the honor for the first time in his career.

Adeyeye, who was also named the Madness Atlantic Sun Men's Basketball Player of the Week by College Sports Madness on Monday, led Jacksonville to an undefeated week that included a victory at Florida Gulf Coast University on Wednesday and a win over Stetson University on Saturday that stretched Jacksonville's home win streak to 11 games. The senior scored 35 points in the Dolphins' 78-69 win at FGCU, the most any Dolphin has scored since 2003, and the most any opponent has scored in Alico Arena since the Eagles moved up to Division 1. The Fayetteville, N.C. native followed that up with 11 points and seven rebounds against Stetson.

Adeyeye's 35 points are the most any player from an A-Sun school has scored in game this season. In conference play his 15.1 points per game are 13th in the A-Sun, his 7.6 rebounds per game are sixth, his 41.8 percent three-point shooting is 12th, and his 23 made three-pointers is fifth.
