JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Quality pitching and solid at-bats set the stage in the final games of Jacksonville University softball's Green and Gold Classic. The Dolphins hosted Albany (N.Y.) and Presbyterian College Sunday, posting come-from-behind wins by scores of 9-5 and 2-1, respectively.
Heather Roberts' hot streak at the plate continued with a 2-for-2 effort including a home run, double and four RBIs in game one, while Kristen Griffith's two-run homer against PC settled the score in the fifth inning.

Victoria Brown's solo shot to left center led to the first of three runs scored in the second inning. The frame saw a Dolphin standing at each base, and Danielle Baker and Roberts each drew walks with the bases loaded.
Brown's bid for a no-hitter ended after 4.1 innings, and though she gave up three singles, she was charged with no earned runs as the scores came as a result of Dolphin errors.
In the home half of the inning, Roberts tied things at 4-4 on a shot deep to left center, and the score remained the same until her two-RBI double in the next frame.
Jacksonville scored a total of five runs in the sixth on Roberts' double, Brown's bases loaded walk, Emily Sanchez's single and Griffith's sacrifice fly.
Jacksonville 2, Presbyterian 1
PC limited the Dolphins to one hit through four innings until Brown's infield single in the fifth. The leadoff hit was followed by a two-run blast to centerfield by Griffith.
The Blue Hose held a 1-0 advantage after a home run in the second inning, and attempted to score the game-tying run in the seventh. Megan Anderson led off the final frame with a single, and had her pinch runner steal second where she remained through the final out.
After hosting three tournaments, the Dolphins will participate in their first on the road when they visit the University of Georgia Friday. There, they will see play against the host, Austin Peay, Western Carolina and Minnesota.
